Simonne Cormier, the founder and CEO of Au Naturel Solutions Inc., has a rich Acadian Francophone heritage. Through the RDÉE Prince Edward Island Inc., the provincial francophone economic development council of PEI brought companies to present their creations to retailers in Montreal, Quebec, in May 2022; this is where Simonne brought the Comfort ‘n’ Confidence™ external breast prosthesis was first showcased and look for market opportunities.
A meeting with Jean Coutu and Marketing Development Manager proved fortuitous. Jean Coutu had been searching for products to support their commitment of supplying natural solutions to their customers, including those diagnosed with breast cancer. Jean Coutu is a supporter of the Québec Breast Cancer Foundation,. For more than 25 years, ithas focused its mission on promoting the well-being of affected people and their loved ones through research and innovation, support and raising awareness.
By October, in time for breast cancer month, the Comfort ‘n’ Confidence™ all-natural external breast prosthesis was being sold at Jean Coutu Pharmacies and could be found in over 219 Jean Coutu Pharmacies in Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick.
In March 2023, Simonne attended the Jean Coutu Buyers Market show in St. Hyacinthe, Quebec, to educate buyers and Pharmacists alike on the benefits of the Comfort ‘n’ Confidence™ external breast prosthesis. It was a surprise for them to learn that breast prostheses are covered by insurance and can be prescribed by doctors. Being present and able to demonstrate the many benefits specific to the Comfort ‘n’ Confidence™ external breast prosthesis proved an invaluable experience to those in attendance as they got to touch and feel its lightweight and discover other design features, see demonstrations on finding the right fit and being customizable by the wearer.
Simonne left the 2023 buyers' show excited and proud to be part of Jean Coutu's venture to provide natural product solutions to their customers through the Comfort ‘n’ Confidence™ external breast prosthesis.
